Autism vaccine cases go to court

Scientists have said there is no link between childhood vaccines and autism, but the theory will soon be tested in court.

In the past six years, more than 4,800 claims have been filed against the federal government alleging that a child contracted autism as a result of a vaccine, according to a recent AP article.

The first test case from among those claims is being heard now in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

The plaintiffs in the test case and others filed argue that their child's autism was caused by the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine in combination with other vaccines containing the preservative thimerosal. That preservative, which contains a form of mercury, is no longer in routine childhood vaccines. However, it is still used in influenza vaccines.

The side effects of mercury poisoning might not be the same for children as they are in adults. Case in point, the effects of the medications: Ritalin or Concerta on children versus adults.

Ritalin and Concerta, for example are an amphetamine type medication. If children ingest amphetamine it has the opposite effect on children (sedative) as opposed to adults which is a much faster reaction.

My grandson was a premature baby, in a compromised state of health, and was given vaccines without any thought to the outcome OF HIS LONG TERM HEALTH.

He was "normal" until he reached the age of three then it was like a "rug" was pulled out from under him and his personality disappeared. In it's place he became obsessive-compulsive, he had perseverating behaviors, and was only interested in Buzz Lightyear, of which he collected 100's.

It took me, a former teacher, another 5 years, to research and convince the schools, doctors and other so-called professionals that he was being misdiagnosed as Deaf and PDD.

He had Asperger's Syndrome. He was finally diagnosed at the age of 9. As I write this, Jason is at a first grade level and cannot read. He was pushed through year after year without learning to read. His speech is fine and he communicates.

Because of years of misdiagnosis and incompetence, Jason is behind 4 years in school due to extreme ignorance of the signs of autism.

We, the family, were treated dispicably and with disrespect when we disagreed with the widespectrum diagnosis of PDD.

Who is going to replace the lost years of schooling or PAY for Jason's education and treatments? Why should he be deprived of a normal life and succeeding in the world with this half-assed half-baked attempt to educate him?

HE and millions of kids need to be compensated and helped NOW, not in 1 year and not even in 5 years. If school districts really care about kids, this needs to resolved and put on track.

If they can't do it, then they need to be placed where they can get at least an appropriate education. Who ever was successful without reading? Jason still cannot read!!!

Who is going to pay for that to happen for all of these kids.

NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND???? How corrupt and selfish to inflict this vaccine on this child and then leave him to fend for himself???

People need to start fighting back and refusing state mandated vaccines until the government is going to responsible for it's damage.

It is not accidental that 1 in 66 kids are aquiring AUTISM....GIVE ME A BREAK>>>>>
